Funeral Directors Professional Service


Our funeral directors professional service will help and guide you through the funeral arrangement process so we can arrange a funeral for your loved one to your specific needs.

When arranging a funeral, there are a number of choices to be made which will determine the final cost. For example, you will need to choose between burial or a cremation, the type of coffin, transport for the day, obituary notices, the order of service booklets, and floral tributes.

Our Funeral Director services cover all aspects of the funeral arrangement including:

  • Personal guidance of all the arrangements before, during and after the service
  • Collection, completion and delivery of all legal documentation, and hand deliver to all the relevant authorities
  • Liaising with third-parties such as clergy, council, crematoria, coroner, doctors, and florists
  • Use of our funeral home facilities
  • Caring for the deceased, bringing the person into our care (within 10 miles and within normal working hours), preparation and presentation of the deceased through embalming
  • Private viewing in our chapel of rest
  • Provision of our hearse and following limousine for the family
  • Provision of our Funeral Director and driver-bearer staff
  • To supply the coffin or casket which will be fully lined and fitted

Additional costs for services provided by others are referred to as third-party charges or disbursements. Examples of these disbursements are listed below.

Paying for a Funeral


At the time you have decided the final details of your funeral arrangements we will provide you with a detailed itemised estimate of all the costs involved. Payment will then be due in two seperate payments:

  1. The funeral directors fees.
  2. Disbursements (third party costs) which will need to be paid two working days prior to the funeral taking place.
  3. Two weeks after the funeral you will receive a full and final invoice showing any monies paid, to be paid within 30 days of the dated invoice.

Financial Support for the Funeral


We know that money can be difficult at this time and is often the last thing on your mind. We can look, with your guidance, at making changes to reduce the fee of your funeral, or, you may be eligible to apply for funeral support from the government. We can advise how to make a claim.
