Funeral Costs

Whilst arranging the funeral we will keep you informed about costs and charges. The funeral account itself is divided into two separate charges.

Firstly there are the Funeral Director’s costs. These include the following:

  • Attending to necessary documentation
  • Collecting the deceased from the place of death
  • Private viewing in our chapel of rest
  • Care of the deceased throughout
  • The hearse, limousine and our bearers
  • Our office and administration costs
  • Coffin or casket

The Disbursements are the costs incurred from third-parties. These can include:

  • Doctors’ fees for any paperwork and certificates involved for a cremation service
  • Cremation / burial fees
  • Minister’s fees for conducting the service
  • Obituary and thanks notices, etc.

A breakdown of expenses will be provided on your initial visit after we have discussed your requirements.

Two days prior to the funeral taking place the Disbursement fees, (charges we have to pay out on the families behalf) have to be paid.

The final bill will then be forwarded to the family approximately 14 days after the funeral and full and final payment will be due 30 days after the date on the invoice.
